Oregon Drug Bust of the Week: Acid, Mushrooms and pounds of pot

Police arrest this bearded dude on suspicion of carrying 10 pounds of pot...and mushrooms...and acid.

We get plenty of press releases each week from the Oregon State Police letting us know about recent drug busts in our area. With that in mind, Bent will now feature the "Oregon Drug Bust of the Week," a weekly installment complete with pictures. Lots of pictures. Pictures of weed and dope and other illegal things.

Our first Drug Bust of the Week took place on January 11 when Seattle's Russell Jay Heller  (pictured at right) was arrested near Lakeview, Oregon, after being pulled over while driving a 1993 Chevy Lumina (one of the  most fabulous corporate cruisers of the 1990s).

In various locations in the car, police say they found 10 pounds of marijuana, two ounces of psilocybin mushrooms and 25 doses of LSD. No drugs, however, were found in Russell's beard.

Russell was booked on suspicion of a variety of controlled substance possession charges, in addition to a DUII warrant from Jackson County.

Here's some photos of the drugs that were seized.
