I've got another great addition to the summer outdoor music calendar and that's the recent announcement that Brett Dennen is returning to Bend with special guest Dawes on June 16.

The show is slated for the Athletic Club of Bend and tickets are available at Newport Market Avenue.

Dennen is touring in support of his newly released record, Loverboy, which pushes his already expansive boundaries as a songwriter. It will be interesting to see what sort of band he's touring with this time, but one thing's for sure -- he'll certainly bring the sexy dancing.

Here's an interview I did with Dennen back in 2009. We talked about old-school Nintendo for the first five or so minutes. Also, here's Dennen playing on Jimmy Kimmel and looking a lot like Mitch Hedberg.

Supporting Dennen is LA folk rock band Dawes, who made a short-notice appearance here in Bend a few months ago and blew us away. Here's some footage from that show.
