Local Author Will Lead a Writing Workshop on the Rogue River

Ride the river, and write the river, with Ellen Waterston.

Ellen Waterston, a local author and founder and director of The Nature of Words, will be leading a Writing Workshop on Oregon’s Rogue River this August. A press release for the event announced the four-day, three-night rafting trip and writing workshop, which will be held in collaboration with Echo River Trips.

According to the release, each day will begin with writing prompts that participants can ponder as they float down the picturesque river. Participants will then camp along the river and write about a theme presented each day. The workshop, which is appropriate for writers of all levels, will give participants an option of riding the Rogue’s rapids in the rafts or to paddle inflatable kayaks.

The all-inclusive writing on the river workshop is $895 per person with a limit of 15 writing participants. For more information or to reserve online visit Echo River Trips Website, call (800) 652-3246 or contact Ellen Waterston at (541) 480-3933.
