So it's shitty outside, so what? Actually, it's not that bad today ... Regardless, we have a solution for your early-winter blues, and it's called Animal Eyes.
The indie folk rock band, originally from outside Homer, AK (Talkeetna, actually) is now based out of Portland and are in town to make you smile. You have two chances to see 'em: tonight at the Horned Hand (8pm, $5 suggested donation) and next Friday, Jan. 27 at Silver Moon with Plum Sutra. Check out our upcoming issue for a Sound feature on these melodic folk rockers (they have an accordion player!).
Local gothic country band, Rural Demons are opening tonight. Dig it.
This is how you're going to stay warm, dry and happy tonight: gather friends, go to show, drink beer, listen to music. Here's something else you should know: the show is cheap, the beers are cheap (2 American dollars for an Old German) and you're cheap; so this all work out, from an economic standpoint.
