Bend Author Michael Harris’ book “Falling Down, Getting Up” hit #1 on Amazon.com earlier this week in the categories of yoga, alcoholism and stress for the United States and Canada.
The founder of Bend’s Bikram Yoga studio writes in the book, which was published earlier this year, about an accident that, as a 12-year-old, nearly killed him.
Alcohol and drug abuse followed for the next 15 years, culminating in threats from doctors that he would lose his legs if he didn’t change his ways. He did.
The book tells his story.
“I’m above cloud 9 here,” Harris told the Source Thursday. “It’s like wahoo! Yippee.”
