Video from Sara Jackson-Holman's First Bend Show

Sara Jackson-Holman plays her first local show in Bend,

Sara Jackson-Holman, the 21-year-old Bend native who suddenly rose to national prominence after Expunged Records came across her demos on MySpace last year, finally played her first local show last night at the Oxford Hotel.

With a near-capacity crowd on hand that was full of family and friends, Jackson-Holman took the stage and played a neatly packaged one-hour set that included most, if not all, of the songs from her studio record, When You Dream. Standing behind her keyboard and accompanied by a super talented three-piece band of Portland musicians, Jackson-Holman's voice is even richer and stronger live than on record, even if her stage presence still needs a little loosening up -- which will come in time.

Here's some video from the show and if you missed it, she's back on stage at the Bend Summer Festival main stage on Sunday for free.
