One Night Homeless Count Today

The Homeless Leadership Coalition's One Night Homeless Count started today at 10 a.m. The count, which began in 2006, aims to count each homeless person in Central Oregon, from those at homeless camps to those staying temporarily in motels.

We're spending the day at the count, at locations including the Family Kitchen, the Bethlehem Inn, and the United Methodist Church downtown on Bond Street. Homeless can come to each of these locations to pick up blankets, water bottles, pet food, propane, food, and goodie bags like this:

If you're homeless, here are the locations to go to be counted and score donated food and provisions: 

Bend- Trinity Episcopal Church/Family Kitchen- 231 NW Idaho

Light snacks starting at 10:00am and dinner served from 5:00pm to 6:30pm.

Bend- COCC Campus Center– Office of Student Life– 11:00am to 12:00am and 3:00pm to 4:30pm.

Lapine- Lapine Community Kitchen- 16480 Finley Butte Road –Lunch served noon to 2:00pm.

Redmond- Senior Center- 325 NW Dogwood– Soup served from noon to 5:00pm and Jericho’s Table dinner served from 5:00pm to 6:00pm.

Sisters- Kiwanis Food Bank- 225 N Oak Street– 9:00am to 2:00pm.
