Pissing in the Wind: Jackass 3D makes you laugh, makes you gag, and is completely entertaining

Jackass 3D brings the poop, pee and other grossness right into your lap.

Jackass reminds me of high school. Not only because its target audience is high-school-aged boys, but also because when I was of that age my friends and I would watch the Jackass TV show for hours, laughing hysterically. Sometimes you just need a good laugh and as the guys of Jackass have learned, a guy getting kicked in the groin by a donkey is sure to win a few gut-busting chuckles.

Best Pop Culture-Inspired Gag:

Though you might not have been about to identify the brand immediately (Maxell's high-fidelity cassette tapes), anyone over the age of 20 should recognize the image of a man being blown away in a lounge chair. Jackass cranks up the power by putting Dunn behind the jets of an airplane in the iconic pose. Dunn holds on as long as possible and his wind-resistance leads to the next set of gags, which include a dinner date, bags of flour, and Bam Margera peeing in the wind. The boys point out that the latter kind of sums up what they do in Jackass, and I don't think I could think of a better description.

Pass Me the Barf Bag, or the Gags that Made Me Want to Gag:

It wouldn't be Jackass without the gross-out humor, and you know it's going to be bad when the videographer can't even keep from vomiting. "Sweat Suit Cocktail" puts the Jackass' portly pal Preston Lacy in a plastic sweat suit, and has him run while his sweat drips into a cup below. The now sober-for-life Steve-O has to man-up and drink the sweat suit cocktail, and it's reassuring that he doesn't mindlessly down the salty drippings. Steve-O's hesitance makes us question whether or not he'll really do it and also proves to us they do have reservations, though they always go through with the stunt. This was the one segment where I audibly heard the people behind me gag. For me, it was the "poop volcano" (don't ask) that made me feel the most ill.

The Third Dimension:

I usually think 3D is gratuitous and I have to tell my eyes to focus on looking for the effects. Jackass was the first film since Nightmare Before Christmas that I wanted to see in 3D, and I'm glad I did. The beginning and ending sequences benefited most from the technology, but wasn't utilized as much as it could have been throughout the film. They could have used 3D to make the gross out stunts grosser, but they didn't (for the most part) and I, for one, am grateful. I was glad to see something other than animated aliens using the third dimension.
