Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Peace

Les Schwab Amphitheater hosts open house

Last August just days before the ever-popular Michael Franti show, the Les Schwab Amphitheater announced that it would close and monitor the east bank of the Deschutes River—a popular spot for concert poaching. In 11 concert seasons, it was the first time it had taken such measures to regulate freeloaders.

In an effort to better explain the venue's rules and regulations, preceding the first concert of the Amphitheater's 2014 season (The National and tUnE-yArDs will perform Fri., May 23), Les Schwab Amphitheater organizers will hold an open house to answer the public's questions.

Attendees are invited to express concerns about grass closures, restrictions on chairs and blankets, service fees and more. Marney Smith, venue director; Brent Bidot, ticketing manager; Chelsea Woodmansee, PR and volunteer manager; and other members of the Amphitheater administration will be in attendance to answer questions.

Les Schwab Amphitheater Open House

Wed., May 7, 5:30 pm.
