Those waiting anxiously for the next brewery in Bend to open are going to have to wait a few more months for Noble Brewing Co. to begin pouring beers.
When we first reported on the new brewery back in September, Noble was planning on opening by the beginning of this month. Now, however, it looks like Noble won't be operating until March, according to co-owner Ty Barnett.
The brewery is planned for the Century Center (off of Century Drive, as the name implies) and is taking over the former West Bend Tennis Center space. Barnett says some of the equipment is in place, but he and his partners are still waiting to install the rest of the brewing infrastructure.
In related brewing news, we also got word that Old Mill Brew Werks (who are hosting the Beer Olympics tasting event on Saturday) began brewing their beer today. So, once OMBW and Noble are up and running, that means that Central Oregon may very well have 10 breweries sometime this year.
