It looks like the incredibly bizarre tale of Doitchin Krastev, the Bulgarian national who stole the identity of a dead toddler (Jason Evers) then somehow got a job as a regional manager with the Oregon Liquor Control Commission, is finally over.
After pleading guilty in November to aggravated theft and passport fraud, Krastev was sentenced today in Portland to two years (and one day) in federal prison. After that, he'll likely be deported.
On top of all this, he apologized to the family of Evers, who were on hand for the sentencing.
So, this is probably the last of many, many, many articles on the entire Evers/Krastev fiasco we'll publish...unless he somehow escapes from prison and surfaces as the mayor of Topeka, Kansas or something like that.
