Open Forum with Attorney General Kroger: Today

Oregon A.G. Kroger to discuss the D.O.J.'s efforts to restore and maintain Oregon's waterways.

Oregon Attorney General John Kroger is holding a town-hall style meeting tonight at Riverbend Park to discuss what is being done to protect, restore and maintain Oregon's fragile aquatic habitat.

The Department of Justice's Environmental Crimes Enforcement Unit plays a crucial role in protecting Oregon's waterways. Members of the D.O.J. will be on hand to explain their link to the ongoing conservation efforts. An exchange with concerned community members is encouraged.

This afternoon, A.G. Kroger will join members of the media on a short paddle tour of the Upper Deschutes to highlight areas of concern. Check back later for a recap of our canoe float with this elected official.

In the run-in to the 2008 election, the Sierra Club announced their endorsement of Kroger, who is an avid outdoorsman.

Town Hall — When and Where: 6pm-8pm, tonight (Aug. 3) at Riverbend Community Room, 799 SW Columbia St., Bend
