Tonight's talk: Silver and Liggins will recount how they and 400 others came together to support nonviolent change by traveling into the Deep South, defying Jim Crow laws and putting their welfare—even their lives—on the line in the spring and summer of 1961. They will explain how their experience as Freedom Riders shaped their lives and its relevance for today. Book sales and signings will follow the presentation.
