Mickey Hart is Coming to Bend and We Want to Give You His New CD

Win a copy of Hart's new album by telling us the best Dead era in terms of their keyboard player. Read on for more info.

Mickey HartCalling all deadheads!

Mickey Hart, former drummer for the Grateful Dead, is playing at the Tower on May 7 and we have an extra copy of his new CD, Mysterium Tremendum to give away.

Hart's spacey/world-beat jams are easy on the ears and at least one of us here on the Source's editorial staff is psyched for the upcoming show.

So, put down the bong long enough to read how to win a copy of his new album that is sitting on my desk this very minute.

Being Dead fans, we have a favorite Dead-era. To win the CD you have to tell us what were the best years to see the Dead/when were they making the best music.

And! You must do so by referencing said years in terms of their keyboard player (they had a lot of them, most of them are now dead—you didn't want to play the keys for the Dead. It's a cursed position, apparently).

Got it? It's easy. Share our Facebook post and leave your answer as a Facebook comment. There is only one correct answer! (according to us). The first person to answer correctly will be notified via the bookface and can then come down Shakedown Street Bond St. to pick up a shiny new Mickey Hart CD.

You can read our interview with Hart in next week's issue. And if you want tickets to the show, they're available at the Tower's website ($41).
