In case you haven't heard their hits, like "Bang! Bang!" and "Cappachino," The Knux are a refreshingly awesome alt. rap/rock duo from L.A. (via New Orleans) with amazing 80's style.
You should care because they've worked with musical mega-broker Paul Rosenburg, who's worked with Eminem and other such noteworthy icons of the rap world. They opened for Common in 2007 and have been kicking ass ever since.
If this means anything to you, 109 iTunes customers gave their debut album, Remind Me in 3 Days, 4.5 stars. Not too shabby. Most recently, The Knux recorded "Run" with Kid Cudi.
On Saturday, Nov. 17 (this Saturday, y'all!) The Knux will be at the Astro Lounge. Also on the bill are Jay Tablet, Zyme and DJ True Justice. The show kicks off at 9pm, no word on a cover though.
Sorry for the G-rated, bleeped out curse words—annoying, but I figured the Red Chuck Taylors vs. Black Chuck Taylors showdown was worth it.
