- It's not surprising that there's only a few of these left in town.
The made-in-Bend Sahalie
is a wild-yeast beer
by The Ale Apothecary
. It comes bottled in a handsome 750-milliliter corked package, is somewhere 9%-10% ABV
(depending on the batch), and tastes damn good—a mash-up of a Belgian golden ale
and a sour
Though brewer Paul Arney
, a former Deschutes man who had a hand in the making of The Dissident
, is sold out of the delicious brew (as well as ALL of his other beers), there are still a few places in town you can find the Sahalie.
$25, Broken Top Bottle Shop & Ale Café, 1740 NW Pence Ln. #1
$23.99, Newport Market, 1121 NW Newport Ave.
The Brew Shop is sold out, but it was selling for $23.85.

Last month Sahalie received a nice write up here, on the Weekly Pint, a national beer review site.
