COCC Garden Club Moves for Sustainability

The COCC Garden Club was recently approved to begin building a collaborative garden on the campus that, if all goes as planned, will harvest its first crops this summer. The future site of COCC Collaborative Garden is currently labeled with signs stuffed in the frozen, undeveloped ground, but when the weather clears up, the club plans to start planting.

Tonight, they will host a fundraiser at which the club members will answer questions about the proposed garden space, and screen the documentary, Edible City.

The film followed a group of activists in San Fransisco who built a large farm on an empty lot in the heart of the city in an effort to transform their local food system.

Support our local food movement by checking out the film and supporting the Garden Club.
