SXSW here we come!

SXSW. Austin, TX.

I'll be in Austin starting on Wednesday covering the event, and I can't wait to relay all of the fun to our readers via the interwebs!

Below is Fred Armisen's 1998 guide to SXSW, the festival is looking a bit different these days with over 2,500 performers at over 100 venues, but the idea is the same. I'm assuming there will be less empty conference rooms and less interviews with weird French accents.

I haven't been able to find any Bend bands that are going to SXSW, but there is an entire evening called the Portland Party dedicated to our friends from the north who will be playing in Austin including Animal Eyes, Radiation City, Hip Hatchet, Rare Monk, Tango Alpha Tango and Water Tower.
