This is great news for the OSU-Cascades expansion project which to date, has raised $3.3 million in private support. OSU's donation website confirms that they hope to raise $4 million by December of 2013.

The Oregon Community Foundation works with individuals, families, businesses and organizations to create charitable funds to support the community causes from non-profits to arts organizations. OCF awards more than $55 million annually in grants and scholarships.

The Oregon Legislature is expected to vote in the next two-months on Governor John Kitzhaber's proposed $242 million higher education plan, which would provide an additional $16 million to convert OSU-Cascades into a 4-year University.
