Last year, we wrote a story about
Bend's Zine Library, a fun collaboration between the local independent publishing community that compiled private archives of zines, local and national, and put them up for rent and reading free of charge.

Formerly housed at the
Work House and then at
Armature Studio, last week, the Zine Library moved a new central location at
Townshend's Teahouse. Check out the
Bend Zine Library Facebook page for updates and information. And, be sure to head down to Townshend's and see what the Bend Zine Library has to offer, they've added about 100 new titles.
Here's what curator, Heather, had to say about the new location:
Last week the Bend Zine Library moved downtown. We have 700+ independently published zines (pronounced" zeens") on a cute wicker bookshelf in the back of Townshend's Teahouse on Bond Street for a trial period of 3-6 months. Zines are categorized by subjects such as Travel, Art/Lit, Comics, Health, mini-Zine, Local zines and Perzine (person memoir). Zines are to be read at the location and put back in the category they belong.
Heather's newest zine, Guide to Central Oregon Pioneer Cemeteries is available in the local section.
