Christmas is fast approaching, so between frantic shopping, holiday office parities (ours is TONIGHT!) and other obligatory events, try to enjoy yourself. Here's what we will be up to this weekend...

We will be celebrating the release at the Deschutes Brewery pubs in Bend and Portland on December 12th all day with samples, snifters, food specials, and bottles and swag for sale. 11am-11pm. Christmas Light & Hot Toddy Ride

For those who want to begin from the west side, meet at 6pm at Bend Electric Bikes to decorate and light up bikes. The event is free and warming refreshments will be provided. Those who would rather join the event nearer the trailhead are encouraged to meet outside the Bend Senior Center at 7 pm.

Second Sunday: Fractured Fairy Tales and Myths
POETRY—Award-winning Bend poets Judith Montgomery and Suzanne Burns explore the darker side of common tales and mythical notions, from “Hansel and Gretel” to Death itself. Montgomery received the 2000 Oregon Book Award and Burns won the 2013 Diagram Innovative Fiction Prize. Though the two don’t write together, their poetry touches on similar themes. An open mic will follow the reading. 2 pm. Downtown Bend Library, Free.
