Poor Man's Whiskey Returns to Bend for Outdoor Show

Poor Man's Whiskey returns to Bend for an outdoor show, thanks to the people at 4 Peaks.

One of Bend's favorite bands -- and one that keeps coming back a couple times a year -- Poor Man's Whiskey will play an outdoor show this summer. It's slated for August 14th and the location is the West Wind Ranch (home to a music festival just a few weekends back) out in Tumalo. The show was originally billed as a private gig, but with tickets available online, it's now open to the public.

Brought to you by 4 Peaks Presents (and taking place almost two years to the date after the last 4 Peaks Music Festival), the show also features Bay Area jammers Ten Mile Tide, locals Wild Rye and former Blue Turtle Seduction front man Jay Seals, and possibly some other acts.

I haven't heard if Poor Man's Whiskey has any special tricks up their sleeves (probably not going to be a "Dark Side of the Moonshine" performance), but the band has been known to go full throttle with their Americana-meets-arena-rock style.

The all-day (1pm-10pm) show is family friendly -- including pony rides! -- and features on site camping for those who want to get the full festival experience. Click here for tickets.
