Upcoming BendFilm Screenings at Sisters Movie House

We just got word that BendFilm will be screening two films in the next month at Sisters Movie House.

First up is Lovely, Still on February 17 at 7 p.m. Billed as a December-December romance, Lovely, Still stars Martin Landau and Ellen Burnstyn, who is so amazing that she could spin around in circles for an entire movie and I'd probably still love it. The film has made the rounds at major film festivals across the country, garnering awards including Best Actor and Director at the California Film Festival. Judging from the trailer, it looks like it might be a tearjerker so bring your tissues.

Second is Bicycle Dreams, on March 3rd at 6:45 p.m. Another film festival circuit favorite, about the 3,000-mile-long race from the Atlantic coast to the Pacific. According to the website, it's considered the most difficult sporting event in the world, and top riders finish in ten days. Ten days. After being blown away by the athletes in Hood to Coast, which BendFilm recently screened at the Old Mill Regal 16, I can't image what kind of turmoil these athletes will be put through.

Both shows are $10.
