Robert 'Dean" Woodward, Traveling with the new merry pranksters sounds like a perfect way to re-experience all these places with untarnished eyes. I suspect that when their view becomes yours these 'ruined' places will be renewed. Woosie Boy

Woodster, Get thee back to a real life...usually you are the least likely candidate for such a waste of your considerable talents...anyway, baseball season is nigh, so wasting of my time obsessing over OBS and the like can't be too fa behind.

Woodwizard, Told you it was worth reading...did you make sure to get it back to the library on time after I lent it to you so my late mother the librarian doesn't haunt us both?! Gerry

Woodfellow, As you are now both the resident arbiter of words and now weather...I propose for your consideration that the freezing fog we recently enjoyed during this season's spate of weather for the weird [as in 'Keep Oregon Weird' of bumper sticker fame] shall hereafter be called 'frog'...whaddya think? Robert, I was in Portland for the big game...since I don't have cable I had to invite myself to a friend's house where there was one Beaver fan and a dozen Duck fans and me [from 'Switzerland' as I did not have a so-called dog in the hunt]...It didn't occur to me to go to a sports bar an watch anonymously...a game like that called out for a gang of friends to act like we were cognoscenti and speak 'knowingly' about tactics...[and to make a pot luck so we could eat even more food than the holiday season brings out way anyhow]...the Duck fans were rather ill humored when things looked dark for Oregon blaming the officials for everything but when the double threat of James and Blount began to turn the tide became real excited about what a great game it was...the lone Beaver fan was magnanimous throughout. From Switzerland it all looked great...
