When: Thu., Feb. 24, 4:30-7 p.m.
Most Thursdays from January through May, we have some fireside live music. This week, Bart Budwig will be rocking out, with William Surly opening at 5pm. Sometimes when Bart sings, I forget what we’re talking about. I’m sure he knows though. I trust him. He sounds like John Prine, plays like Hoyt Axton, and looks like well...Bart Budwig. He’s a cosmic country lawn gnome. He’s cherubic, cheery, and an old soul. Songs spring from the dreams of his noon day naps, and punch the keys of his typewriter above the OK Theater in Enterprise, Oregon. - American Standard Time Opening for Bart is William Surly, a singer/songwriter who saddles his horse (metaphorically speaking) in Portland, Oregon, and is no stranger to the western cocktail. Within his music he mixes classic country with a little bit of honky tonk, a dash of folk and a whole lot of whiskey. Inspired by story tellers like Willie and Waylon and the boys, and rejuvenated by the sounds of Sturgil Simpson and Whitey Morgan And The 78's, Surly pays homage to the ones who came before him, singing songs for those best suited for a bar stool and a long running tab. RSVP required for overnight lodging guests to claim complimentary seats. Proof of vaccination and picture ID required at the door with no exceptions. Doors at 4:30pm. Show starts at 5pm. Food & Drink available from our Skip Restaurant during the show.
