Random Presents, the company behind many of the shows in the Midtown complex, is stepping up to the Tower for the first time to bring Carlile in for an encore of her downright impressive opening set for Sheryl Crow last August. At the show initially at the instance of a Crow-loving wife, the Blender got to the Les Schwab Amphitheater just in time to see Carlile take the stage for a set that included a raucous and, well, kind of angry, cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Fortunate Son." And yeah, it was pretty awesome. Maybe even more so than Sheryl Crow, maybe.
There's sure to be some big announcements for what's to come this summer soon here, but hey, this is a good start. And, even though it's at the Tower, ticket prices are posted at $24. Not too bad, either.
