The Trouble With Harry

Bend Experimental Art Theatre takes on one of Hitchcock's best as members of a small town discover the dead body of Harry Worp on a hillside above their sleepy little hamlet. B.E.A.T. Has spent years developing young talent and The Trouble With Harry will showcase their 2014 students. 7 pm & 2 pm. 2nd Street Theater.

The Vanchestein-Park-Vanhauwaert Trio

This L.A.-based trio will be bringing the piano, violin and clarinet to Bartok, Stravinsky and much more. They also pride themselves on playing lesser known works by living composers. 7:30pm. Tower Theatre.

Sisters Fresh Hop Festival

BEER—The rules are simple: Each brew must use at least one fresh hop picked straight from the vine. Yet, somehow the results are crazy varied. With 24 different breweries (all Oregon, thank you very much) showboating their fresh hop brews, the Sisters beer festival has expanded into its fifth year. Noon–8 pm. Sisters Village Green Park.

Swinging With the Stars

Central Oregon's take on Dancing With the Stars with professional dancers partnering up with local celebrities. The event is also a fundraiser for Central Oregon Sparrow Clubs. 5:30pm. Tower Theatre.

Last Saturday at Iron Works

An amalgamation of creative intention, Armature, Cinder Cone, Stuarts of Bend and The Workhouse, are all open late with music, eats, drinks and art for everyone. This summer, the Workhouse has taken up teaching arts classes like recycled scrap metal reworking and art business pitching only widening the variety of mediums that show themselves in the creative spaces. 6 pm. Black Cat Ballroom Grand Opening Dance

Bend's newest ballroom, Latin and swing dance studio opens to the public. Featuring the instruction of local dancing master Gwendolyn Mae, the studio will be putting the moves on Central Oregon soon. 6 pm. Free Dance Lesson, 7pm. Dance Begins.

The Alla Prima Method

A two-part class focused on teaching the Alla Prima Method (AKA Direct Painting), the method of painting on wet layers of paint. It will be a step-by-step approach to creating an oil painting in a short amount of time.
