Friday Mixtape! Sasquatch: Day Two

By the second day of the SASQUATCH! Music Festival, most in attendance will be slow to wake up, and when they do, camp coffee will flow like Niagara Falls. Those late risers better take care though not to miss some of the day’s early offerings as a quartet of 1p.m. shows get Saturday of Sasquatch off to a good start.

Songs from all four of those bands are included in the second installment of the Source’s Sasquatch inspired Friday Mixtape.

To begin with, a set of rousing shoegaze from New Lungs will adorn the Narwhal stage while the feisty female punk of Deap Vally shreds the Yeti stage. Decidedly rambunctious funk punk from The Bright Light Social Hour highlights the Bigfoot stage and modern day vintage inspired folk trubador Willy Mason gets things going on the main Sasquatch stage. Sounds like a good start for any early birds who don’t party too hard Friday night.

The playlist, of course, includes music from all the headliners as well, including the track “Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks” from The National. Word of advice, learn the words to this one; Lead singer Matt Berninger likes to lead a crowd sing-a-long.
