Creator of the popular Sweet-As, GoodLife brewing has incredible brews, a modern and inviting dining space, and an affordable menu.
One of the more recent arrivals on Bend’s brewing scene, GoodLife has quickly built a reputation as local’s favorite. While the menu is a light on traditional dinner items, the kitchen staff makes up for it with an emphasis on fresh preparations. We recommend that you start your meal with GoodLife’s fittingly named “Bacon Squared,” thick-cut bacon and cream cheese stuffed jalapeños topped with more bacon. Now that’s living high on the hog. For the more cholesterol conscious, there’s also Thai Lettuce Wraps, Thai peanut sauce, roasted chicken and mint slaw with romaine hearts and Srichacha. ($9). Oh yeah, nothing on the menu is over $10. The Dish: Tues-Sun, 11 am–10 pm. Closed Monday. Local’s Day Every Thurs. ($2.50 pints). Outdoor seating, expansive grass area.
A fun-spirited and lively brew-pub with a beer garden, GoodLife is like the team captain on the varsity squad—good humored and a high-level team player. They host a Winter Beer Festival, encouraging all the regional breweries to contribute their best (like a Puffy Coat Porter) or most-yuletide-spirited blend, like River Bend’s Winter Mint Stout. More standard is their Dry Hop Pale Ale, and they also are leading the way with canning beer, as a means to prove that sustainability and quality can be in sync.
• $3 pints of select Good Life brews and $7 growler specials.
• $3.50-$9.50 special food menu including warm pretzels, pub wings and roasted pork belly. $1 off beer, wine and cocktails.
