To support a community based food system in Central Oregon to increase access to fresh healthy food, support sustainable farm land use, and foster relationships among farmers and consumers. Each spring we publish a printed and online Central Oregon Food & Farm Directory linking consumers with their farmers and food businesses.
WHAT CAN YOUR DONATIONS DO?
Your donation improves access to locally grown, raised and made food and supports our food skills education courses, Green Thumbs Up! We partner with the Oregon Food Bank and local organizations to provide food skills education and increase fresh food access for low-income individuals. We provide two programs: Seed-to-Supper, a classroom and hands-on gardening course that follows gardeners through a growing season, and Cooking Matters, a 6-week chef lead hands on cooking class. Teaching people how to grow and cook fresh food is an important step in promoting health. Join HDFFA to grow food production among Central Oregon farms by strengthening relations among farmers, food businesses, and consumers, putting locally grown fresh, healthy food on our tables.
