The history of glaciers in the North Cascades is poorly understood, but fluctuations in glacier size can be reconstructed from sediments in alpine lakes. These reconstructions give us new insights on glacial advances and retreats in the North Cascades throughout the past 10,000 years. Doors open 5:30, presentation at 7:00.
