Jazz at the Oxford Announces Series Line-Up.

The popular Jazz at the Oxford series is back for its third year at the Oxford Hotel in downtown Bend and the 2012-2013 season provides Central Oregon jazz aficionados with a reason to celebrate. Kicking off the series on October 19th and 20th is the Northwest's own soul sista Linda Hornbuckle. Hornbuckle’s unique gospel charged soul has earned her a following of fervent fans throughout the Pacific Northwest.  Next up is composer and trumpeteer Jeremy Pelt. A graduate of the Berklee School of Music and current NYC resident Pelt has performed with many jazz luminaries including Jimmy Heath, Frank Wess, and Charli Persip and is touring in support of his latest release Soul on November 23rd and 24th. Patrick Lamb returns with Holiday Soul on December 22nd and 23rd. His unique blend of funk, soul, R&B and Jazz has made him an Oxford series favorite. 2013 starts off strong with multiple Grammy nominated singer and pianist Karrin Allyson touring in support of her 13th album 'Round Midnight on January 18th and 19th. A fixture in the Portland jazz scene drummer Mel Brown returns with his septet on February 22nd and 23rd. Brown has worked with some of the top names in the music industry including George Harrison, Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder. Tom Scott and the California Express close out the series on March 15th and 16th. Scott is a two time Grammy award winner and bandleader for the west coast jazz fusion ensemble California Express.

Series tickets will be available for purchase on Bendticket.com and individual performance sales begin September 21.
