I came into contact with Mr. Hummel when I served on a grand jury several years ago. I was impressed by his approach to the law and his eagerness to support people who had made mistakes in their bid to move forward. I backed his bid for the US Attorney of Oregon, believing Oregon would have been well done by with him in the position. I've no doubt he'll find something as useful to do to benefit the people of the state, and wish him luck with whatever path he pursues.

I've always thought the apple fritters at Safeway were particularly tasty.

The sandwich list at Initiative Brewing has some flavorful and diverse choices (Cubano, Banh Mi, Buffalo Chicken, upgraded Grilled Cheese). The beer selection (and taste) is great too.
