Love, Laughter and Lucci

Playwright Cricket Daniel's second play Love, Laughter and Lucci, which has been playing for the last couple weeks at 2nd Street Theater, has extended its run, adding five more shows. The play follows 18-year-old Maria, who after graduating high school wants to move to the Big Apple and pursue her dreams of acting on All My Children with her idol Susan Lucci. Oliver!

Charles Dickens' story of an orphan who asks for more comes to the Greenwood Playhouse. You'll be humming or singing the catchy numbers long after leaving the theater. Lilli Ann Linford-Foreman directs the musical with assistance from Audrey Colton Smith and vocal direction and piano accompaniment by Tim Russell. Runs Weds-Sat 7:30pm and Sun 2pm. The Spin Cycle

Innovation Theatre Works presents the Northwest premiere of The Spin Cycle, a new comedy by David Rambo, beginning February 18. In The Spin Cycle, a baby boomer returns home for Thanksgiving to confront her aging mother's health issues. The story gives the audience opportunity to laugh at relatable circumstances, while also highlighting the seriousness of aging. Feb 18 - Mar 6. Weds-Sat 8pm, Sun 2pm. $15-20. Shakespeare in the Park

As if the warm weather we've been experiencing isn't reason enough to ache for summer, Lay It Out Events is launching a new Shakespeare in the Park event in August. The event will feature three performances of Shakespeare's most famous comedy, A Midsummer Night's Dream on August 26 and 27 in Drake Park. The play will be performed by Portland's Northwest Classic Theater Company. Tifany LeGuyonne of Cat Call Productions will work with Lay It Out Events to produce the event. Tickets go on sale March 1 at Bendticket.com. Friday & Saturday, August 26 & 27. Drake Park.
