Oregon Cultural Trust

MISSION STATEMENT
For ten years, the Oregon Cultural Trust has played a vital role in building Oregon communities; its support for cultural nonprofits statewide enriches lives every day by offering access to culture—book fairs, author tours, library programs, performances, visual arts, and historic preservation. The Trust has made over 1,000 grants to cultural organizations statewide, $14 million since 2003. Simultaneously, the Trust is building a permanent fund, now almost $20 million, so future generations can experience the Oregon culture we enjoy today. Anyone can be part of this vision by supporting any of 1,300 eligible cultural nonprofits, including 40+ in Deschutes County, matching those gifts with a gift to the Trust, and taking Oregon’s generous and unique state cultural tax credit.
WHAT CAN YOUR DONATIONS DO?
Cultural Trust donations are split 42/58% between an annual grant program of over $1.5 million and deposits to Oregon’s permanent cultural fund, respectively. The Trust supports five statewide partners (Oregon Humanities, Oregon Arts Commission, Oregon Historical Society, Oregon Heritage Commission, and State Historic Preservation Office), and funds culture in every Oregon county and five of the nine federally recognized tribes.
