Hot Buttered Rum with Medium Troy
MUSIC—The line "plant a tree on your space ship" from the Medium Troy song "Space Tree" pretty well sums up this show—organic but out there (in a good way). Where Are You Go
FILM—Oh, you think that your bike treks are something special? Where Are You Go tells a humbling—and beautiful—story about a four month, 7,000-mile Sudan to South Africa cycling "race." Capturing hard-scrabbled deserts, glowing sunsets and smiling children, the documentary chronicles the world's longest bicycle race, the Tour de Afrique. 9 pm. McMenamins, 70 NW Bond. $5.

Night Light Show
PRESENTATION—Bend's own version of Johnny Carson meets Chelsea Handler, local yogi and hilarious talk show-style host Shanan Kelley will lead a variety show including interviews with local business owners, musical and comedic guests and a live zine creation based on the event. Kyle Gass Band
MUSIC—Gass is familiarly known as KG, sidekick to the over-the-top theatrics of Jack Black in the comedy rock outfit Tenacious D. Just like Black, Gass may joke a lot, but is at his core a phenomenally talented musician. Gass' namesake band combines classic rock guitars, illustrious harmonies and what sounds like the occasional pan flute solo. 9 pm. Domino Room, 51 NW Greenwood Ave. $15-$18.

AUTHOR—Bendite Allie Brosh is self proclaimed "Internet famous." Brosh's site hyperboleandahalf.com now receives between 3 and 7 million unique visitors a month. She will read and sign copies of her new book and answer questions like...is her pony tale really a blonde spike? Does she always wear that pink dress? Does she even have legs? BLUES—The blues can be such a misleading term; after all, singers and bass players like Portland's award-winning Lisa Mann can be playful and even uplifting. The blues? Hardly! Hendrix 70: Live at Woodstock
FILM—You've heard the hits hundreds, maybe thousands of times—"Fire," "Purple Haze," "Hey Joe"—but watching the 26-year-old badass play Woodstock with 5.1 hi-def surround sound will knock your tie-dyed socks off. FILM—We love Sweetgrass Productions' style: a vintage look with an artful eye, a narrative-driven film full of soul-riding and backcountry done right. Also, naked skiing. Presented by progressive companies like Patagonia and Dynafit, this new film, brought to town by one of Bend's newest ski shops—The Plankery—is quite possibly the season's best snow film. The Great Depression in Bend
PRESENTATION—Still a young town, and built on a vulnerable economy of lumber, Bend was slammed in the 1930s when the nation's economy collapsed. And, making the stories even more colorful, the railroad delivered scores of hungry, desperate men each week.
