Hillstomp, Larry and His Flask
friday 27For the second year running, Portland's Hillstomp is coming to town to help you shake off the Thanksgiving gravy hangover with what we guarantee to be a raucous show. Hillstomp, as many locals know, combines north Mississippi style blues with a punk rock ethos that they deliver care of wicked slide guitar, junkyard drums and CB-radio-style vocals, and Bendites tend to freak out for these guys. Opening the show is Central Oregon's own Larry and His Flask, home for the holiday before venturing out on yet another West Coast Tour. 9pm doors, 9:30pm show. $8. All ages, bar w/ID. Domino Room, 51 NW Greenwood Ave.

His style is all over the place, but blues is where he really shines. $7. 9pm. Silver Moon Brewing Co. 24 NW Greenwood Ave.
The JZ Band
If you're one of our many loyal readers out in Sisters, you can stay in town for this show featuring the rock and roll explosion that is the combination of Joe Leonardi and David Z. But if you're up for a drive, head out west to see these local rock veterans. $5. 8pm. Three Creeks Brewing Co.

Ski for Schools
monday - friday 30-4
You still have until Friday the 27th to get your $20 tickets at several Bend-area businesses, which will grant you a day of skiing at Mt. Bachelor between November 30 and December 4. Wait, you ask, isn't that only during the week? Yes, it is, which is why you might just be getting a sore throat, if you catch our drift. This program benefits the Education Foundation for the Bend-La Pine Schools. If you're going to play hooky, you might as well do it for a good cause.
