Redmond Historic Hotels Day & UFO Festival

Dress like an alien, UFO, Trekkie or an early 1900s Central Oregon settler. Hopefully, you've taken the time to remove the protective encasing from your costume and sufficiently ironed it before this weekend's out-of-this-world (get it?) fun. Redmond mixes things up and combines Project Blue Book with a dose of history in this one day festival to end all festivals. Deschutes Brewery 20th Anniversary Bash

Bend's own local brewery turns 20 and invites you to help them celebrate. Yup, it's been 20 years since the now-famous brewery took off, hard to believe. Check out Moon Mountain Ramblers' performances on the loading dock while you take a self-guided tour of the brewery and sample the 20th Anniversary brew. Keith Roberts and his raucous band of Irish transplants and Los Angeles musicians come to Bend for a concert full of songs about love, war, emigration, incarceration and drinking and promote their latest album The Irish Sessions. No, they're nothing like U2 (Young Dubs are faster, louder and, well, more Irish-sounding), but that doesn't mean you shouldn't check them out solely for Roberts' silly stage ramblings.
