Out of Town 3/31 - 4/7: My Chemical Romance, A Day to Remember, Pete Yorn and Ben Kweller, Henry Rollins

If you're not spending your weekend in Bend, here are a few concerts Out of Town you may want to check out.

friday 1

My Chemical Romance

On their newest album, released in November, My Chemical Romance takes it back to their garage rock roots. Their lyrics are sure to get you pissed off with just about every aspect of society, then band you together in inspirational anarchy that will make you want to rage, but in a good way. Older favorites from their highly acclaimed The Black Parade album, created under the same producer of many of Green Day's albums, are sure to be mixed in with fresh new songs, and Neon Trees and The Architects open. 8pm, Roseland Theater.

saturday 2

A Day to Remember

Keep rockin' into Saturday at Roseland, when A Day to Remember offers you a musical grab bag that mixes the Ocala, Florida band's punk-pop choruses with harder metalcore verses. The band released their fourth album, What Separates Me from You this past November, with plenty of self-vs.-the-world angst. This year's upcoming highlights include playing with the Vans Warped Tour and having their single "All I Want" utilized by professional wrestling company TNA. 7pm, Roseland Theater.

sunday 3

Pete Yorn and Ben Kweller

Pete Yorn headlines with Ben Kweller and The Wellspring also perform for a relaxing Sunday-evening set. This past fall, Pete Yorn released a new self-titled album with a mellow rock and roll feel highlighted by his heartfelt vocals, which pairs quite nicely with Ben Kweller's soulful voice and multi-talented instrumental accompaniments on piano and guitar. 9pm, Wonder Ballroom.

tuesday 5

Henry Rollins

Jack of all performing trades Henry Rollins is coming to Portland with his spoken word act and chances are, he's going to yell at you. The former Black Flag front man went on to create his own Rollins Band, before transitioning into spoken word later in his career, hosting his own radio show on Los Angeles' Indie 103.1, guest-starring in action oriented movies and television productions, and producing albums such as his recent self-descriptive Spoken Word Guy album. 8pm, Alberta Rose Theater.

Little Bites: Thanksgiving Dinner is Served! Restaurants that will cook for you on Thursday

While many of us are going to be slaving over stoves, stuffing, brining or the always fun deep-frying our butterball turkeys this Thursday, there are options for those who don't feel like sticking their hands in the cavity of a 20-pound bird or cutting up the neck to stew some gravy. For all of you who would rather have a skilled chef prepare your fixins, here's a list of restaurants serving Thanksgiving Dinner, courtesy of Visit Bend.
