Penguins in Peru: 32 Years of Saving an Endangered Species

Patty McGill, PhD will discuss her fieldwork monitoring Humboldt penguins in Peru, where she was able to uncover patterns aligned with success or failure of coastal populations. McGill also works with conservation of rapidly declining African penguins and will briefly compare some of the challenges facing the two species.
