The following item was posted this morning by "I Am Coyote" on the NW Republican blog. The EYE believes it speaks for itself:

"I remember arguing back in 1998, against the 'north/south light rail' bond measure, that the expansion of light rail into north Portland would essentially create a gang banger circulation system. We said at the time that it would provide transportation of north Portland gang bangers to head out to Hillsboro and Gresham, where they could do their deeds and then take flight back to their own home turfs.

"Well we defeated the bond measure but the city of Portland found a way to pay for it anyway and it was built. And low [sic] and behold what we said almost ten years ago is coming to life like the dark prophesy we delivered to the communities at the time.

"Guess what? The enlightened planners in Vancouver Washington are signing on to a huge multi-billion dollar project that will extend the gang banger circulation system into downtown Vancouver. Nice eh?"
