Whatever it is, at this point, you can tell that Red Fang is just stoked to be getting attention for the music (and hilarious videos) they make - and maybe that's what we're hearing on Murder the Mountains.
It's a 10-song gem, filled with one sterling track after another. Building tracks like "Wires" and "Hank is Dead" shows that this band is a lot more complex than their early bar-rock standout "Prehistoric Dog." The band dips into something decidedly more stoner-y here and there ("Throw Up," "Into the Eye"), but they're at their best when they stick to the booze.
