Snortin' Whiskey and Drinkin' Cocaine

Got this feelin’ Canadian rocker Pat Travers will be downtown snortin’ whiskey and drinkin’ cocaine tonight. Canadian rocker Travers rose to fame in the early '80s as part of the emerging big hair, hard rock music scene.

His signature guitar solos, bluesy growling vocals and toned down tresses can be seen tonight on the SummerFest main stage until Boom Boom (Out Go The Lights).

At 9:00 p.m. singer-songwriter Rickie Lee Jones will be on the Mirror Pond Stage. Jones’ most well recognized hit "Chuck E’s in Love" was nominated for song of the year in 1980, the same year she won a Grammy for Best New Artist. During her career Jones has recorded R&B, blues, pop, soul, and jazz standards and was listed at #30 in the VH1 list of 100 greatest women of rock.

You need to pick up what Seattle based jam band Nefarious Jones is laying down; a fresh funky bass line topped off with some psychedelic lyrics. The show is free and starts at 8 p.m. at the Silver Moon Brewery.

Grow Deep Grow Wild is the name of the soon-to-be-released album by Psychedelic-folk band Horse Thief. This four man band based out of Oklahoma wants you to lose yourself in their raw vocals, guitar swells, colossal bass, and mountainous drums tonight at 9:00 p.m. at the Horned Hand.
