Spork's Next Pop-Up Supper Club This Weekend

Spork's second pop-up supper club at Cafe Sintra January 8-9.

Spork is following up their successful two-day December pop-up restaurant with another pop-up this weekend, January 8 and 9. Basically the same deal as before: Spork will take over Cafe Sintra's space for two nights.

I wrote about Spork's supper club last month, which you can read here. This time the Spork folks are serving five more substantial courses instead of seven small ones.

The menu is as follows:

-House kimchi consomme, fried Willapa Bay oyster, local corn shoots
-Spanish chorizo and jamon broth, toasted farro, Brussels sprouts, bacon, apple

-Pacific blue prawns, jicama, coconut achiote cream

-Bourbon and root beer braised Carlton Farms Oregon pork belly, grit croquetta, shiso

-Apple pie milkshake

Tickets are $44 (includes gratuity) and can be purchased on brown paper tickets.

If you missed the first Spork pop-up supper club, I highly recommend attending. If you attended, you don't need my recommendation. Hell, I'd go just to try the apple pie milkshake.

One last note: after the Spork article ran, we heard a few people thought Cafe Sintra closed and Spork was taking over. This is not true -- the owner of Cafe Sintra offered his space for Spork's supper club, as Cafe Sintra does not utilize its space in the evenings. Neighbors working together, one pop-up restaurant at a time.
