The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest Opens at Pilot Butte on Friday

The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest, the third and final chapter in the series is opening at Pilot Butte 6 on Friday.

The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's NestFans of Stieg Larsson's Millenium Series and the Swedish film adaptions can rejoice: The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest, the third and final chapter in the series is opening at Pilot Butte 6 on Friday. I received the screener this week, so you can count on reading the review in next week's paper and online. Though, I've never read the books, I have enjoyed watching the films and am excited to see how the series wraps up.

Noomi Rapace reprises her role as the film's badass leading lady Lisbeth Salander and is joined again by co-star Michael Nyqvist as Mikael Blomkvist. When we last saw Lisbeth at the end of The Girl Who Played With Fire she wasn't in the best shape, and the third film find her recovering in the hospital, awaiting trial for the three murders she's been accused of. Mikael must find a way to prove her innocence, and Lisbeth must be willing to share her tortured experiences.

Those hoping to see Rapace cross-over from Sweden to Hollywood are in luck, as the actress is filming a role in Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes sequel with Robert Downey Jr. As for the American remake of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, I'm eager to see how Rooney Mara does in filling Rapace's shoes as the new Lisbeth.

Check back next week for my full review, and in the meantime check out the trailer for The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest.
