The Head and the Heart: Undercover from the A.V. Club

Awesome covers by awesome bands. Listen to this!

The Head and the HeartThe concept behind the A.V. Club's Undercover project is pretty simple: 25 bands, 25 cover songs, one small round room.

Damn! Why didn't we think of that!

Bands are invited to a storage closet turned recording studio at The Onion's office in Chicago where they perform a cover of their choosing from a list assembled by staff and A.V. Club listeners. As the bands choose their songs, the list shrinks - meaning that the last band invited is forced to play the one remaining cover.

The Head and the Heart, who will be playing the Les Schwab Amphitheater on Friday May 25, was invited to the round room. Here is a link to their bad assversion of Fleetwood Mac's "Go Your Own Way."

The rest of the 2012 list includes some choice selections including the infamousTop Gun theme "Danger Zone"by Kenny Loggins and party jam"Ignition Remix" by R. Kelly. New videos are posted weekly as bands roll through the studio and give some old favorites a new twist. Check this shit out!
